Dear Sharers, Volunteers, Parents and Carers,
As you know I have resigned from the committee and I am leaving SPP along with Mirren and Amelia and we are taking Sapphire and Ruby with us on the next part of our journey.
Around 10 years ago Cynthia and I got going with the idea of SPP without really knowing where it would lead. Since then SPP has grown with the help of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers and sharers helping and joining the committee to change SPP beyond recognition from our humble beginnings. I believe SPP has a bright and big future bringing Think Like a Pony to the West of Scotland and providing a unique equine therapy experience for those who need it. We have already helped so many people and I am so proud to have been a part of their and your journeys so far. Unfortunately, I will not be able to continue this journey with you all. It is with a lot of sadness that I am stepping down and I will always be truly grateful to all the wonderful people and ponies I have met and had the good fortune to work with over the years, however I am very tired and I need to be more careful with my health and have many other things I dream about doing with my family who are rapidly growing up. I have been trying to do too much for too long and need to be able to focus on my family and their wellbeing.
It is a huge change for us as SPP has been a huge part of the girls lives since they were very small, we are all going to miss you all. I understand that you are worried about how the herd will react to the ponies moving on and although they may be upset in the short term they are used to Ruby in particular and other herd members disappearing for periods of time and they will settle quickly. Horses are highly adaptable to their situations and although it will be harder for Ruby and Sapphire to move to our new yard I have every confidence that they will be ruling the roost and breaking the electric fencing in no time! We won’t be too far from the park and hope to bump into you all now and again when we’re out and about.
I want to thank you all for your support and effort that you have poured into SPP and I know that you will all continue to help it grow. I wish you all the absolute best in the future with your ponies and know you will continue to be the very best horse people you can be for the ponies!
The girls and I will be down tomorrow morning and hope to see you all then.
With lots of love
Jude
